ILTM has announced further details of the high-end African properties that will feature on its guest list at ILTM Africa 2014 (www.iltm.net/africa). Taking place 28 – 30 April 2014 in Cape Town, the list includes both established elite bush lodges and resorts who took part in the successful launch edition of ILTM Africa earlier this year and a list of new, independent properties from this burgeoning continent.
From across Sub-Saharan Africa, participants include Zambia’s Royal Chundu Zambezi Lodge and Baines River Camp, Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, South Africa’s The Collection by Liz Magrath, Virgin Limited Edition’s new Mahala Missouri tented safari camp in Kenya, South Africa's Mala Mala game reserve, The Royal Portfolio, The Vineyard and Abercrombie and Kent in addition to Mateya Safari Lodge, River Bend Lodge and the new boutique Alphen hotel in Cape Town. Other guests include Sabi Sabi Luxury Safari Lodges, Grand Roche Hotel, Wilderness Safaris and &Beyond.
ILTM Africa Event Manager David Paterson commented:
“ILTM’s position as the world’s leading luxury travel event means that only ILTM Africa can guarantee the industry’s foremost luxury travel buyers. Exhibitors at ILTM Africa 2013 in April this year have already seen a return of 12 times their investment and we are forecasting that this will rise by 50% in 2014.”
ILTM has confirmed their invitation list to ensure that the most discerning luxury travel agents from across the world – from China, Japan and Australia to Brazil, Mexico and Argentina to the core UK and US markets – will be fully hosted at the event.
Philippe Brown of bespoke UK travel agency Brown and Hudson commented:
“My expectations were extremely high of the first ILTM Africa – and I was delighted that they were exceeded on every level. I met with inspirational people from such a broad scope of interests across the African continent – each of whom has helped me create truly bespoke experiences that have yielded richer travel stories for our clients. It is a pleasure to work with people who understand the world and the needs of ultra high net worth individuals and I am really looking forward to building on this great networking success at ILTM Africa 2014.”
David Paterson continued:
“In addition to gathering the very best of the best at ILTM Africa, we will help the industry curate their choice – offering up to 57 appointments pre-scheduled, one to one appointments that have been mutually matched between buyer and supplier – 15 more than any other luxury travel event in Africa.”
Over 8,500 pre-scheduled luxury travel business meetings are planned to take place in total during ILTM Africa – each mutually matched between buyer and supplier.
ILTM Africa is one of three co-located travel industry events that form Africa Travel Week 2014 (www.africatravelweek.com: 28 April – 3 May) in Cape Town. The other events are IBTM Africa (Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings) 28 - 30 April, and WTM Africa (World Travel Market), which will take place from 2 – 3May.
