Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Spa (www.iltm.net/spa) has
announced the details for the Opening Forum at ILTM Spa 2013 on Monday 30
September where the high profile line-up will include renowned wellness experts
and future trends experts who will explore opportunities in this fast-moving
global industry.
Alison
Gilmore, Exhibition Director, ILTM Portfolio comments:
“With
57% of people wanting more support in leading a healthier life, especially in
the emerging markets (88% in China and 73% in Brazil) – two of the leading
global outbound luxury travel markets, there has never been a better time to be
an innovator in the health and wellness space. The high-profile
panel represented at the Opening Forum of ILTM Spa will both inform and inspire
those invited to attend, with an intense education in spa and wellness to
anticipate the needs of tomorrow’s consumer.”
Taking
place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower ,
London , Katie
Winterbourne, Professional Intuitive at the Harrods Spa Urban Retreat will
launch the ILTM Spa Opening Forum by addressing the ever-growing holistic side
of the spa industry and her experience of working with conscious awareness, energy
and the souls potential.
Exploring
both traditional Chinese medicine and western psychology, Karina Stewart,
founder of Kamalaya and Dr. Peter Gartner, Parkhotel Igls will then debate and
share their insights on both defining areas of health and wellness. At the age
of 14, Stewart began meditation and exploring Asian spiritual philosophies and
now has 22 years of experience in the study and practice of the diverse Asian
healing and spiritual traditions. Dr Gartner is an expert in modern Mayr
medicine, as well as holistic medicine, nutrition and physiotherapy as well as
acupuncture.
The
evolution of the destination spa to now be in a position to anticipate the
needs of an increasingly global clientele will be highlighted by two
experts: Na Tasukon, Director of Marketing, Chiva-Som and Corrina Yap,
Spa Manager, COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. Their entrepreneurial journeys
to business success whilst offering new innovations from across the wellness
landscape, will offer exclusive practical advice as well as inspiration to those
attending this exclusive gathering.
The ILTM
Spa Opening Forum will close with an ‘out of the box’ presentation by David
Smith of Global Futures and Foresight who will both challenge and inform those
present on many of the key issues of the future, in order to stimulate creative
thought to help generate new visions and strategies for the changing shape of
the spa industry.
Ms Gilmore
concludes:
“The ILTM
Spa Opening Forum will create content and debate that gives all our
participants – exhibitors and hosted buyers – real insights into trends, issues
and successes of the spa industry as well as some thought provoking concepts to
begin their two days of business. We are delighted to welcome such an
influential line up of speakers for what is bound to be a lively and
enlightening debate that will also give the audience the opportunity to ask
their own questions of those that are directly involved as experts in the
growing spa sector within luxury tourism”.
An
invitation-only, business to business event for the spa industry, ILTM Spa takes place from 30 September
– 2 October 2013. The event brings
