DALLAS—Hotel
ZaZa, a boutique hotel brand in Texas, has launched The Bungalows at Hotel ZaZa
Dallas, a collection of 12 one- and two-bedroom guest suites
situated on a private compound adjacent to the hotel.
Suites range
in size from 600 to 1,200
sq. ft . and offer kitchens, living rooms, private
porches and patios. Six of the suites are housed in an existing historic
building, while the other six are in a new building, designed to match the New
Orleans-style architecture of its counterpart
.
According to
the company, the suites feature a coastal chic design, with inspiration coming
from Hotel ZaZa Developer Charles S. Givens. Design Duncan Miller Ullmann
designed the suites.
Design
elements include a vintage tail gate from a 1960s Volkswagen Bug hanging in a
bathroom; a Napoli freestanding tup from Victoria + Albert; a 1940s 24-in TV
built into a wooden cabinet; an amber-colored LED tree; and a Mystic kitchen
sink by Elkay used as a vanity in one of the white marble bathrooms. Much of
the furniture and artwork are from local boutiques in Texas .
Guests of
The Bungalows have access to the hotel’s amenities, including the pool, ZaSpa
wellness retreat and Dragonfly, a restaurant.
