DUBAI, UAE—The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah opened here, the brand’s first hotel in the United Arab Emirates.
Offering
views of the Arabian Gulf, the 346-room Waldorf Astoria Ras Al
Khaimah is designed to reflect the architectural features of an
Arabian palace. The hotel features over-size guestrooms and suites,
an 18-hole championship golf course, a private beach, spa, four
restaurants and six dining and entertainment venues.
The
hotel also includes two brand signatures: a grand lobby clock and
Peacock Alley, public space dedicated to the dining area. Inspired by
The Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York, the clock is designed to honor
regional Arab culture and includes the five daily prayer times.
