New Dates and Concept for Bit2014

The 2014 International Tourism Exchange, being staged at Fieramilano will be held from Thursday to Saturday, three days of wall-to-wall B2B; instead of 4 days event.

The 3-days event, between 13 and 15 February 2014, has already announced a whole range of new features, all pointing towards B2B: new dates, an improved exhibition layout, new workshops’ formula, exploiting the Milan location with Expo 2015 in mind, and new active services prior to the event.

It is expected that Bit 2014 will be much more better than Bit 2013 which hosted more than 2,100 exhibitors from 100 countries, more than 53,600 trade professionals, 1,000 companies and 700 international buyers participating in the workshops, more than 2,000 accredited journalists and more than 19,000 business matches.

Bit 2014 is now three days instead of four, from Thursday to Saturday, all devoted to trade operators, with paid admission to the travelling public only on Saturday. The Italy section will be based in pavilions 1 and 3 and The World in pavilions 2 and 4, where the Business Village will also be located, with the aim of achieving a formula which will further intensify the focus on business. Because people who organize travel for a living know how important the returns are – in every sense of the word.

The new Bit BuyExpo 2015 workshop is being organized on similar lines. Thanks to the presence of selected hosted buyers, at Bit 2014, it will be possible to plan ahead and purchase tourist packages associated with Expo 2015 in advance: a unique opportunity for the Italian and international market. In this scenario, Bit 2014 will be able to make even better use of its prime location in Milan, the Italian capital of business, fashion, design and shopping, as well as a metropolis of global importance in the international scenario.

It’ll also be a revolution for Bit BuyItaly: at Bit 2014, instead of the usual workshop, the world’s leading event for promoting Italy will offer a program of pre-arranged meetings at the stands. In fact, a pre-scheduled appointment agenda, valid for two days, is included in the exhibition package. This time there will be even more specialized hosted buyers: in all, more than 1,000 buyers and more than 2,500 sellers are expected to attend.

Admission is free for trade professionals who register by 12th February 2014. The exhibition is only open to both trade professional and consumers on Saturday 14th February, allowing tour operators and destination representatives to offer exclusive travel deals to visitors attending Bit 2014.
