Suntec
Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre (“Suntec Singapore”)
opened for business with events spanning the MICE spectrum. Business
commenced with a private dining event on the evening of Monday 03
June 2013, marking the closing of the 8th Special Olympics Singapore
National Games.
Attended by over 800 guests and athletes, the evening was a resounding success with spirited performances as well as a special appearance from our Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Lawrence Wong.
The Liver Symposium, APASL, followed this with a conference for 3,500 and an exhibition across 4,000 square meters. The first week also included a consumer show, the Singapore Book Fair.
The venue features a completely modernised façade that includes an impressive 3-storey interactive digital wall. Suntec Singapore’s redesign pays particular attention to flexibility, functionality and convertibility while integrating a high degree of advanced technology, such as free WiFi throughout the Centre, to cater to the evolving needs of the MICE industry.
With a busy back-to-back calendar lined up for 2013 with returning customers like Spikes Asia 2013 and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s SME events, Suntec Singapore will continue to be a positive influence to the convention business of the future. The perfect location, flexible customisable space and cutting-edge technology supporting highly qualified and motivated service-oriented people combine to make Suntec Singapore the preferred place to meet in Singapore and Asia.
