SPOKANE,
WASH. - Red
Lion Hotels Corporation is
looking forward to executing a new franchise agreement for the Leo
Hotel Collection with
the owners of The
Riverside Hotel in Boise.
The hotel will add 300 rooms to the Leo Hotel Collection when it
converts in mid-summer.
"Celebrities and former presidents have stayed at this sprawling riverside getaway," said Ron Burgett, Executive Vice President of Lodging and Brand Development for Red Lion Hotels Corporation. "This is exactly the type of property we envisioned for the Leo Hotel Collection."
The Riverside Hotel is a resort-style property spanning 14 manicured acres, situated on the banks of the scenic Boise River. The hotel features 300 rooms and suites, and over 21,000 square feet of convention and event space. Newly renovated resort amenities include a large outdoor pool and sundeck, hot tub, "splash pad" for kids, large-scale outdoor chess and petanque courts. The Sandbar Patio Bar & Grill, adjacent to the pool and open seasonally, features live music every night and locally-sourced food, beer, wine and spirits.
In addition to the multiple restaurants, bars and amenities, last October, The Riverside Hotel opened The Sapphire Room, a world-class listening room for music and jazz events. Since its opening, The Sapphire Room has hosted concerts by jazz legend Yve Evans, along with Seattle-based Pearl Django, and numerous talented local musicians.
Located at 2900 W Chinden Blvd, five minutes from the heart of downtown Boise, the hotel is set on the Boise Greenbelt, a 25-mile recreation pathway along the river that connects 15 parks. Its garden-like setting, amenities and views of the river make the hotel a popular destination for weddings and meetings.
The current owners purchased the hotel in 2011 and have spent the last two years renovating the hotel to establish it as one of the premier boutique hotels in the region, with an emphasis on using local vendors and goods as much as possible.
"The Leo Collection, backed by the resources of the Red Lion system, is exactly what we were looking for," said Derek McElroy, General Manager of The Riverside Hotel. "Our hotel caters to the discriminating traveler, looking for personalized service with a special flare."
The Leo Hotel Collection is a new brand comprising unique, boutique, historic and/or destination hotels. The brand launched in January this year.
