La
Dolce Vitae,
the exclusive rooftop terrace at the Majestic
Hotel & Spa,
is celebrating the beginning of summer in Barcelona with a totally
new look, in an exquisite setting full of glamour.
In keeping with the general remodeling plan the Majestic Hotel & Spa has been undergoing for the past two years, the emblematic La Dolce Vitae rooftop terrace will welcome in summer in Barcelona this 2013 with a whole new look, both in infrastructure and design, giving it what is perhaps the best view of the city.
La Dolce Vitae opens its doors this May, positioning itself as an intimate, inviting terrace where guests can enjoy a pleasant evening high above the city. From this new space at the Majestic, guests can see practically the entire city at once, with its most emblematic architectural icons like the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and the majestic temple of Tibidabo, all from the epicenter of Barcelona, on Paseo de Gracia.
La Dolce Vitae is preparing to attract both foodies and night owls wanting to spend an unforgettable night in an exceptional setting. A relaxed meeting place for a special evening or a gathering after work with friends.
The main changes have been moving the kitchen onto the La Dolce Vitae terrace, speeding up service enormously, and getting rid of the elevator housing that took up a good part of the space, surprising guests with an unrivaled panoramic view of Barcelona. In line with the characteristic elegance of the Majestic Hotel Group, the new space is exquisitely decorated, with furniture from the renowned brand Kettal that is both stylish and comfortable.
And we can't talk about the subtleties of La Dolce Vitae without mentioning the impressive, full-color mosaic that presides over the pool area, created by American artist Philip Stanton, giving this spot a genuine artistic magic.
Gastronomic offer for all palates
La Dolce Vitae opens its doors from nine in the morning to two in the morning, with an all-new menu of dishes and suggestive cocktails. The new gastronomic offer allows guests to chose from a wide range of Mediterranean-style sandwiches, small dishes and salads throughout the day.
The most demanding palates will also find a place at La Dolce Vitae, with an extensive menu of succulent, gourmet tapas ranging from traditional Iberian ham and bread with tomato, salmon blintzes with caviar and sour cream, tuna-belly sandwich on wheat bread, steak sandwich on homemade bread, selection of sushi, makis and rolls, tuna tartare on a bed of tomato; and some specials like the emblematic Majestic burger or the traditional club sandwich.
The food at La Dolce Vitae is complemented by a selection of wines, excellent champagnes and an updated cocktail menu including classic, failsafe combinations like the cosmopolitan or gin and tonic, as well as more exotic, unusual drinks like mango or banana margaritas. All with the sea breeze of a summer night in Barcelona, bathed in soft candlelight and livened up by the best selection of music .
An elite classic in the heart of Barcelona
