Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has seen its inaugural flight from Birmingham to Lyon take off, bringing to 22 the total number of routes it now operates from one of its main UK bases.
The new, six times a week year-round schedule is expected to develop further the strong twinning link that already exists between the two cities.
Lyon is a destination of major importance to both the business and leisure market, being a place not only renowned for all things gastronomic, but also a major centre for the banking, chemical, bio and pharmaceutical sectors.
