“Asia was the strongest performing region, with Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, the stand out markets for February, reflecting a later Chinese New Year holiday compared to last year. It’s also worth remembering that last year was a leap year.” said Mr Woodruff.
“We were also delighted to welcome Sichuan Airlines in February as they launched their new direct flight from Chengdu to Melbourne. It was yet another significant milestone in the growing relationship between Victoria and the booming Sichuan Province.”
Domestic passengers increased by 4 per cent in February 2013 compared to last year, to reach 1,722,625 passengers.
