Bit
– Borsa Internazionale del
Turismo at fieramilano, Rho is taking place
from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th February 2013.
On
the other hand, Bit BuyItaly will be held from Thursday 14th –
Saturday 16th February in a special section within the Italy area,
which hosts all Italian destinations, to increase business
opportunities, facilitating the presence of buyers to the stands.
Interest
is growing day by day in Bit BuyItaly, the most important workshop
for made-in-Italy tourism, which will permit the meeting of over
2,000 selected sellers of Italian products with top international
high profile buyers, coming from over 60 countries.
As
of the 30th November there are already over 320 registered buyers, up
35% on the same period last year. Among countries with the highest
numbers of participants are the USA, India and Russia, over and above
the European markets, such as Germany, Netherlands and the UK. China
in particular stands out – also an Honoured Guest Country at Bit
2013 – whose buyers are up by 366% this year.
The
growth rate during November consolidates the trend started at Bit
BuyItaly 2012, where 43% of buyers were new to the fair. Last year
over 18,000 appointments were conducted and 75% of sellers who took
part declared that they closed at least one deal during a workshop.
