The
Colosseum amphitheater in Rome, Italy will be ringed
protective barrier so that the tourists do not come too
close to the outer walls of the ancient monument.
At
this step the Italians decided to go after in recent years have been
documented cases of falling to the ground fragments amphitheater,
especially after heavy rains.
According
to the Archaeological Service, the barrierwill be cast-iron
columns that will set at street level at a distance of 5 to
16 meters from the walls of the Colosseum.
In

the Coliseum is 40 centimeters lower than in the north, suggesting
that the ancient Roman arena may be in danger.
However,
according to officials, is no threat to the stability of the
monument, one of the most recognizable symbols of Rome, which was
built during the reign of the emperors of the Flavian dynasty.
Coliseum
now stands on the threshold of his first for '73-scale restoration.
Implementation of the restoration project, valued at 25 million euros
(32.33 million dollars), will begin next month and will end in
2015.
