DULLES, VA – ATPCO announced continued industry adoption of its Routehappy Virtual Tours solution, with SAP Concur joining a growing network of sales channels integrating immersive content into the flight shopping experience.
The solution is now integrated across multiple platforms, including Navan, Fareportal, AmTrav, MyRiva and Travel Code, reflecting increasing demand for enhanced, experience-driven airline retailing. The expansion spans both large global platforms and emerging, specialised distribution channels.
Routehappy Virtual Tours, developed in partnership with 3D SeatMapVR by Renacen, allow airlines to present cabin interiors, seating configurations and onboard amenities through interactive, 360-degree visualisations. The integration of this content into the booking process aims to provide travellers with more detailed information at the point of purchase.
The adoption of immersive content is aligned with broader developments in airline retailing, as distribution channels seek to offer more transparent and engaging shopping experiences. The increasing number of integrations is expanding the reach of airline-provided visual content while influencing customer expectations across digital booking platforms.
The growth of the solution is supported by the expansion of Routehappy content. Since ATPCO introduced access through its Community Participation membership, more than 100 airlines have contributed visual assets, increasing the availability and diversity of content across participating platforms.
“Travelers increasingly expect clarity and confidence when they book, and airlines are eager to showcase the onboard experience they’ve invested in,” said Chris Phillips, Chief Commercial Officer at ATPCO. “The strong adoption we’re seeing across both major platforms and niche channels highlights how quickly immersive content is becoming a ‘must-have’ rather than a ‘nice-to-have’ in modern airline retailing.”
As adoption continues to expand, ATPCO is encouraging additional sales channels to integrate Virtual Tours, with early adopters already incorporating enhanced visual content into their booking environments. The continued growth of the ecosystem indicates a broader industry shift towards immersive and information-rich airline retailing.
