- The codeshare agreement that GOL has maintained with Aerolíneas Argentinas since 2014 will now be expanded to include Avianca's operations.
- This agreement includes 9 cities in Colombia and 12 in Argentina, in addition to the extension of the interline agreement with access to 30 new destinations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.
Bogotá and Buenos Aires, December 9, 2025. The Abra Group and Aerolíneas Argentinas announced a new codeshare agreement that will strengthen air connectivity between Colombia and Argentina.
With this initiative, Avianca and Aerolíneas Argentinas passengers will be able to fly more easily by carrying only one ticket between both airlines, performing a single check-in and enjoying faster and more efficient connections between multiple destinations in Colombia, Argentina and other countries in the region.
Avianca will have the following cities in Argentina to sell connecting flights from Buenos Aires: Bahía Blanca, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuquén, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazú, Salta, and Tucumán.
Aerolíneas Argentinas will have the following cities in Colombia to sell connecting flights from Bogotá: San Andrés, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Medellín, Pereira, and Santa Marta.
In addition, the existing interline agreement will be extended to include 18 destinations in Argentina and Brazil, operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas; and 12 in Central and South America, operated by Avianca.
Both companies will continue working together to obtain the necessary authorizations for the full implementation of the agreement.
Fabián Lombardo, CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, stated: “This new step in our alliance with Avianca allows us to continue advancing in building a stronger regional network, with better options for our passengers and more competitive value.”
In turn, Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra, commented: “We are very happy to sign this agreement with Aerolíneas Argentinas because it will strengthen the connectivity of our Avianca customers in the Southern Cone, bringing Argentina and Colombia closer together, while we continue building the project of having more and better competition in the region, so that customers have more and more options.”
It is worth remembering that this initiative is part of the Memorandum of Understanding agreed between Aerolíneas Argentinas and the Abra Group in October 2023, and reaffirms the commitment of both parties to have a stronger and more competitive regional network with greater options for the customer.
