The witty and widely admired Canadian comedian, writer, and presenter Katherine Ryan is set to deliver a 45-minute fireside chat titled, “Katherine Ryan: Resilience, Breaking Barriers, and Global Travel Adventures.” In this engaging session, Katherine will delve into her personal journey of challenging industry standards and overcoming cultural obstacles through humor.
She will discuss the unique struggles and sacrifices women face, emphasizing how resilience has played a pivotal role in her career. Drawing from both her personal and professional life, Katherine will explore how humor and resilience can create a culture of positivity and inclusivity while fostering authentic storytelling.
Katherine’s experience as the co-host of the popular Channel 4 series, Joe & Katherine’s Bargain Holidays, alongside fellow comedian Joe Wilkinson, showcased how to enjoy luxury travel on a budget in places like Latvia, Montenegro, Wales, and beyond. Her insights will offer a refreshing take on how curiosity sparks innovation and leads to unexpected opportunities.
Well-known from her appearances on TV and radio shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, Taskmaster, and Have I Got News for You, Katherine has also made a mark in travel television, including a memorable episode of Travel Man: 48 Hours in New York with Richard Ayoade.
