American to add fourth daily flight to Greece starting June 6. 2025ATHENS, Greece — American Airlines will add a new route
to Greece in 2025 with seasonal service between Athens (ATH) and Charlotte,
North Carolina (CLT) starting June 6, 2025.
Charlotte is American’s second-largest hub and provides convenient onward connections to more than 130 destinations in North America. American’s new route will complement existing seasonal service to Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), and Philadelphia (PHL).
“We are excited to announce a new flight
between Athens and the United States of America,” said José Freig, Vice
President International Operations. “As Greece continues to be one of the most
popular destinations for travelers from North America, the addition of direct
flights to Charlotte will better connect more than 60 destinations in the
southeastern United States with all that Greece has to offer. Next year,
American will offer flights to more destinations in the United States from
Greece than any other carrier, providing the most access to our network for
Greek and American passengers.”
