A newly-established conference titled "Impacts of Climate Change on Cultural Heritage: Facing the Challenge," which reflects Greece's concern over climate change repercussions on global cultural heritage will be held at Athens' Zappeion Hall on June 21-22, according to ANA.
Prominent scientists and members of the international academic community will exchange views and present scientific evidence and proposals on how to record the impact of climate change and map key policies, measures and best practices conference aims to increase global awareness towards action, while the conclusions reached the conference is hoped to be used as a springboard for a related declaration involving the United Nations' Secretariat.
The conclusions will also help Greece formulate policy to be presented at the UN Summit for Climate Change in New York in September
