Norwegian has launched gate-to-gate Wi-Fi, giving passengers access to its network as soon as they step on board the aircraft.
Passengers can now access the newly launched gate-to-gate Wi-Fi no sooner they step on board the aircraft.
During the entire duration of the flight the passengers travelling to any route across the Norwegian’s global network can stay connected from pushback to arrival at the gate.
Before the Wi-Fi was activated the aircraft had to earlier climb an altitude of 10,000 feet.
Chief customer and digital officer at Norwegian, Kurt Simonsen said that they know how important it is for our passengers to have internet access.
Until recently the flights were hour-long black holes when it comes to internet coverage. But now Norwegian made it possible to be online from the moment you board the aircraft until you step outside again.
In 2011 free Wi-Fi on board was launched and since millions of passengers were surfing the internet on board. They were looking forward to offer a new gate-to-gate experience to their passengers.
