Entry to some of the popular national parks in the US like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone might triple under the proposals by the US National Park Service.
From May 1, 2018 the entry fees at 17 of the country’s most popular parks will rise from the current $25 per vehicle to $70. While under the plan those visiting on foot will have to shell from $15 to $30.

He further mentioned that they should strive to provide their future generation the same if not better experience than they have today. Revamping and maintaining the parks’ aging infrastructure will ensure that it lasts longer.

Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyon lands, Denali, Glacier,Grand Canyon , Grand Teton, Olympic, Yosemite and Zion were the affected national parks.
An extra $70 million per year will be generated for the National Park Service if the proposed fee is approved.
