Iconic Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman is the new brand ambassador Turkish flag carrier and a leading European airline - Turkish Airlines (THY). Turkish Airlines announced Thursday that Freeman will be its new face to represent the brand in the United States.
Turkish Airlines which creates several successful advertisements and promotional videos in recent years, will now work together with world renowned Hollywood actor Morgan Freemen. A commercial featuring Freeman will be aired during the Super Bowl Final on February 5. The shooting for the commercial started today in Los Angeles.
Last year, the carrier had sponsored “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” movie with Warner Bros Pictures. Through a series of commercials, it had introduced “Gotham City” and “Metropolis” as its two brand new destinations on Super Bowl night, reaching out to 35 percent of the U.S. population while the specially-designed Batman Batmobile had also crossed over Istanbul’s Bosphorus Strait. The commercials last year was viewed by 800 million people, and this year the number is expected to increase.
