Bulgaria's transport ministry has extended the deadline for receiving offers in a concession tender for Sofia International Airport to November 18. Turkey's Limak Holding, Russia's VTB Capital and Switzerland's Flughafen Zuerich together bid for the 35-year operation rights of Bulgaria’s Sofia Airport.
The concession financial parameters include mandatory investment of at least 35.2 million euro ($20.4 million/18 million euro) during the entire 35-year duration of the concession, of which at least 16.8 million euro should be invested in the first five years.
The candidates' offers will be evaluated according to several criteria based mainly on the concession payment and investment programme, which carry a combined weight of 75% in the total score.
