China is soon ready to get its brand new highest bridge of the world that is certainly going to be one of the most impressive bridges.
This bridge is known as the Beipanjiang Bridge that hangs over 1,800 feet above a beautiful river. The construction of this bridge was completed on Saturday, according to an announcement by the Guizhou provincial transport department.
On Saturday, the two different edges of this stunning bridge were linked. This allowed the giant structure to become the highest bridge of the entire world. The bridge is placed at a height of about 2,362 feet between the mountains and 1,854 feet above the Beipan River.
The Si Du River bridge was the second record holder. This bridge crossed a valley in a province known as Hubei. It hung at a height of about 1,627 feet above the ground.
It is scheduled that the Beipanjing Bridge would open later during this year. This bridge would also used to a great extent by automobiles. And, it is expected that this wonderful bridge would make commute between Yunnan and Guizhou provinces twice as swifter.
When it would be opened, this bridge would be credited with the title of the second longest steel-trussed cable-stayed bridge. Furthermore, it would also be the 10th tallest bridge tower in the world.
Out of the 20 hyper-long bridges in the whole world, 17 of them are actually based in China. Seven of these bridges are present in the province of Guizhou. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon bridge, the longest bridge of China has been closed last week immediately after two weeks of its opening. As per the statement of the officials, overwhelming amount of visitors to the bridge prompted authorities to close the bridge.
