Several attractions in Florida are providing its tourists an opportunity to get a real life value out of the popular augmented reality game, “Pokemon Go”.
Many popular destinations of Orlando has embraced this trend wholeheartedly and Seaworld is no exception. It is the first major theme park of Orlando to officially organise and host a “Pokemon Go” event.
Based on the video game franchise that has endured for years, this augmented reality game lets people use their smartphones as a way to spot and catch these elusive creatures that will pop up at locations all over the world. Seaworld promises that a number of “lure models” will be activated throughout the park. The virtual lures are supposed to attract Pokemon to your location, making them easier to catch. To attract more tourists from visiting the park, Seaworld has even added some “Pokemon Go” tips and tricks. They have also equipped the theme park with charging stations and WiFi hotspots to make sure that the phone’s battery doesn’t die out during the hunt.
While some may find the inescapable mentions of this game to be a bit of an overload, it has proven to be a way to get people (including kids) to spend more time outside, getting exercise and interacting with friends, neighbours and other aspiring Pokemon trainers. It might be one of the best ways so far to combine technology with real-world physical activity.
Tourists visiting the Seaworld will also get an added bonus of enjoying pther special attractions at the venue. One of the most popular features would be the shows and exhibits featuring all types of sea creatures. Other options include roller coasters, fast-paced rides, entertainment and unique experiences.
