A total of 2,000 professionals from the corporate events market in Spain and Portugal will be meeting at a new edition of Evento Days on 1 and 2 July 2015. IFEMA hosts Evento Days at Feria de Madrid Hall 1. Professionals will participate in an experiential meeting that will gather more than 100 service companies of the events sector and where the latest products and market trends will be on display.
The meeting will also include a training programme with national and international experts on the most current topics in this growing market.
According to the estimates of Eventoplus Group, the organisers of the meeting, the events market moves a figure of around 6,000 million euros a year in Spain. There are more than 1,000 agencies that specialise in organising large events and more than 25,000 active professionals who organise events, both in agencies and in company internal departments.
In order to promote quality, knowledge and professionalism in the events industry, the meeting has the support of the principal associations of the events and meetings sector of the Iberian Peninsula: ICCA, SITE, MPI Spain, OPC Spain, Event Managers Association, and of the communication and marketing sector such as Dircom, and the Spanish Marketing Association. The meeting will also host different activities organised by the associations: MPI, Meeting Professionals International, will be holding its annual assembly; Event Manager Association and GMIC (Green Meeting Industry Council) will be holding a meeting of their members, and OPC Spain, a session on cardio protected events.
On 1 and 2 July, those attending evento Days will enjoy two days of inspiration, talent and direct contact between the sector's professionals. In this regard they will gain a first-hand view of the sector tendencies: open areas such as Campfire and Open Space combined with chill-out zones and DJ music to encourage learning and networking; the first employment forum for all professionals interested in working in the world of live communication, and opportunities for professional meeting and exchange.
They might also like to see the experimentation with the beacons at an event, the profitability of the use of funny photos on the social networks, applications to encourage the participation of those attending, drones, Oculus glasses for events, and can also access the brand new Green Corner, where companies will take part with products and services to help the event's sustainability, as well as a training program with experts in this area.
IFEMA, as well as being the event venue, will be sponsoring the CONECTA Chill-Out IFEMA (B93) space, which will include numerous activities and especially a photo call in which the attendees can become astronauts, go to training sessions, enjoy a daily cocktail served by Antara Restauración & Catering at 1 pm, and take part in a draw with attractive prizes courtesy of the Westin Palace and Gran Meliá Fénix hotels in Madrid.
As every year, on the first evening Eventoplus Group will be holding the Eventoplus Awards gala with the support of the principal associations of the events and incentives sector. This comes in recognition of the initiative to promote the best practices in the sector and its professionalization.
