In a bid to make guests see their favorite TV shows on their small mobile screen while they are at select Marriott Hotels all that guests need to do is sign onto their existing Netflix account, or subscribe to the service via an app on the hotel’s Internet-connected guest room TVs.
Since guests prefer to take their mobile steams with them when they are travelling, Matthew Carroll, vice president of Marriott Hotels brand management said that Marriott is seeing to it that Netfix becomes a priority for their special clients.
The facility has been authorized to only Marriott among hotel brands and the six properties that will be using the Netflix account are New York East Side, San Jose, Princeton, Newport, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Bethesda.
Six more—Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Atlanta, Dayton, San Juan, and Anaheim—are set to launch this summer. The company hopes to expand Netflix to 100 hotels by the end of the year, and nearly all of its 300-plus U.S. properties by late 2016.
Guests will be able to watch Netflix where ever they go. They will be able to watch their favorite movies; TV shows anywhere they get an internet connection just like they do when they are at home.
While at the hotel guests will need to log in once and they can use the service for the multiple nights that they will be at the hotel but once they sign out their account information will be wiped out.
The hotel is taking great care to cater to individual taste and the app will prove to be quite popular with tourists.
