Iberia’s premium passengers can now enjoy a new VIP lounge at the Malabo Airport in Equatorial Guinea. It is open to Business Club passengers and holders of Iberia Plus Singular, Platinum, and Gold cards. Iberia’s premium passengers can relax on comfortable sofas and read the newspapers and magazines available in the lounge, or get some worked done before departing. The VIP lounge offers free wifi.
The 100 m2 room can accommodate up to 40 people who can enjoy beverages including beer, wine, coffee, tea, soft drinks and juices, as well as snacks, quiche, Spanish omelets, sandwiches, and desserts.
Iberia is the first airline to offer VIP service at the Malabo airport, to which it flies daily from Madrid in Airbus A319s, whose 122 seats include 14 Business Club reclining seats that are 56 cm wide and feature 127 cm of space between rows.
Iberia has flown to the Guinea Ecuatorial since June 1941. At its T4 hub at Madrid airport, it offers easy connections to/from 23 cities in Spain, 27 elsewhere in Europe, and 13 in the Americas. 46% of the passengers who fly with Iberia on this route connect to/from other destinations, most notably Lisbon, Barcelona, Valencia, London, São Paulo, Gran Canaria, Paris, and Panama City.
