
After a drop last year, France is likely to be the number one tourism market for Seychelles in 2015. According to latest statistics published by island’s National Bureau of Statistics, 2.356 French tourists visited Seychelles in January 2015; representing a 6.3 percent increase over last year’s 2.216 French tourists that visited Seychelles in January.
Tourism remains the main pillar of the Seychelles economy and the arrival figure of 17.415 tourists in January represents an increase of 5.4 percent compare to January 2014.
Germany comes second in January 2015 with 2078 tourists. Last year, Seychelles hosted 1628 tourists in January. That means 27.6 percent increase in German tourists this year.
Despite a 27.5 percent decrease in arrivals this year, Russia continues to be the third most important market with 1678 tourists in January 2015. A total of 2317 Russian travelers visited Seychelles last year
