MPI’s 2014 European Meetings and Events Conference to be held in Istanbul

Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) 2014 European Meetings and Events Conference (23-25 February) in Istanbul will showcase unparalleled education and unique networking opportunities for meeting professionals from around the world.

The event begins with one of Europe’s premier experts on the impact of technology on our society, Peter Hinssen, taking the main stage to help delegates navigate “the new normal”—a world where technology has stopped being special and has become normality. Knowing how to successfully navigate this changing landscape and implement the latest technological advances is a challenge every global meeting professional faces in 2014.

“We have spent the past 20 years in the shallow end of the digital pool, and we are about to be thrown into the deep end,” he says. “The new normal is a connected world and it will impact every industry—especially meetings and events.”

Hinssen’s expertise will provide delegates with the elements and insights needed to find success in 2014.

On Sunday evening following Hinssen’s keynote, delegates will be treated to “The Magic of Istanbul” Opening Night Celebration at the city’s historic Bindbirdirek Cistern. The EMEC 2014 host committee will be showcasing the Turkish capitol’s culture and history in a fresh and innovative style, while offering an evening of networking delegates will never forget.
