Confirmation has
been received that a group of Brazilian Samba Dancers
and Drummers are
travelling to the Seychelles for the February 2013 carnival.
This
2013 edition of the
annual Carnaval International de Victoria is
being co-hosted by Seychelles, La Reunion, Madagascar and Zimbabwe.
Seychelles,
La Reunion and Madagascar are all three part of the Indian Vanilla
Islands Regional Organisation and are working
together to position their
region firmly on the tourism circuit as a destination with diversity.
These islands are also actively promoting twin centre holidays with
the African main land which is why Zimbabwe is being showcased and
sits as a co-host of that mid ocean carnival on the equator.

renowned and very popular Samba School ‘Rosas de Ouro’ and they
have said that they are travelling to bring Brazilian Carnival spirit
in all its glory to the Indian Ocean.

Africa and the Americas. Mr Germain has been the contact following up
on the invitation by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister
