Europe’s summer is shifting north

 

Summer Demand Shifts North Europe’s short-term rental market softened in June. Demand nights fell 3.3% and occupancy slipped to 60.3% as supply kept growing. The real signal is in forward bookings: Q3 demand is pacing up double digits across the north, while the south cools.

The territorial distribution of short-term rentals (STRs) properties per inhabited square kilometre in Spain decrease by -0.2 points over the past year, falling from an average of 6.8 to 6.6 properties per km². Notable decreases are observed in Alicante, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Pontevedra, while increases occur in Malaga, Seville, and Girona.

 – This new solution uses big data and artificial intelligence capabilities to map short term rentals offerings, focusing on three tasks:  measuring the total, real number of listings in a given destination; surfacing listings that do not comply with established standards or regulations; and identifying lessors in order to resolve disputes.
