PARIS – UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry has announced the election of its new Board of Directors for 2026–2029. The UFI Board of Directors includes Andreas Mavrommatis of TIF-HELEXPO, representing Greece. UFI announced the election results in Paris on 27 October 2026. The new three-year mandate will begin following the General Assembly on 2 November at the 93rd UFI Global Congress in Bahrain.
UFI members elected representatives from exhibition organisations and industry companies across different international markets. The Board comprises a maximum of 61 members, with elections taking place every three years.
UFI elects international representatives for its 2026–2029 Board
The newly elected Board brings together executives from exhibition organisers, convention and exhibition centres, and international industry associations.
Members represent UFI’s regional chapters across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. The Board is responsible for implementing decisions adopted during UFI’s annual General Assembly. Furthermore, it develops association policies and prepares proposals concerning issues affecting international trade fairs and exhibitions.
Following their preparation, UFI submits these proposals to its members for voting at the General Assembly. The elections take place every three years, establishing the association’s governing representation for the following term.

UFI President Panittha Buri comments on the election
Panittha Buri, UFI President and Vice Chairperson of BHIRAJ BURI GROUP, commented on the newly elected Board.
She stated: “Our Board of Directors reflects what makes UFI truly special: a global community united by a shared commitment to advancing the exhibition industry. I warmly congratulate all newly elected members and extend my sincere thanks to those stepping down for their dedication, commitment and service to UFI.
Ultimately, an association is only as strong as the commitment and contribution of its members. Its true value lies not only in its leadership, but in the willingness of its entire community to participate, share expertise, exchange ideas and work together towards common goals.
UFI’s strength comes from the people who give their time, energy and passion to shaping its future. While the Board provides leadership and direction, it is the combined commitment of the Board and the wider membership that brings our association to life and enables it to thrive.
