Destination: Bangkok. LOT Polish Airlines has launched a new direct connection with Asia

07 October 2026 On 7 October 2026, LOT Polish Airlines launched a direct service to Bangkok, one of Southeast Asia’s key cities.

  • The flights, lasting approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes are operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and offer a comfortable option to travel from the capital of Poland to Bangkok.
  • Bangkok is the latest long-haul Asian destination in LOT Polish Airline’s route network.
LOT Polish Airlines has connected Warsaw with Bangkok. On 7 October 2026, the inaugural flight to the Thai capital took off from Chopin Airport, broadening the range of opportunities available to those willing to reach one of Southeast Asia’s key business and tourism hubs. This new route strengthens the national carrier's presence in Asia and expands the range of long-haul connections available from Warsaw.

For years, Bangkok has remained one of the most attractive and promising destinations in Asia. It is a city that blends the character of a global metropolis with Thailand’s unique culture, cuisine, and heritage, while simultaneously offering easy access to tropical islands and major Southeast Asian destinations. The launch of direct flights from Warsaw marks another step in strengthening LOT’s presence in this part of the world and offers our passengers a faster, more convenient way to reach Thailand. The new connection will also help deepen ties between Poland and Thailand and reinforce Warsaw’s role as a natural transit hub for Central European passengers traveling to Asia.

Between 7 and 25 October 2026, flight LO65 departing Warsaw for Bangkok will be taking off on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 3:45 pm, while the return leg (LO66) from Bangkok to Warsaw is scheduled to depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, at 9:05 am. With the start of the winter season on 26 October, the frequency of the service will increase, the hours will also be slightly adjusted. Until November 1, flights to Bangkok will operate five times a week, while flights to Warsaw will operate four times a week.
From 2 November, flights to Bangkok will be taking to the skies six times a week, with the exception of Fridays. During this period, the departure time from Warsaw will also change from 3:45 pm to 2:45 pm. Return flights to Warsaw will depart daily at 9:05 am, except for Saturdays. For the summer season — lasting between 28 March and 28 October 2027 — three flights to the Thai capital are scheduled each week.
The new route offers not only a more convenient way to reach Thailand but also serves as a vital link connecting Central and Eastern Europe with one of the world’s most dynamic regions. Flights to Bangkok open up new opportunities for both business and leisure travel, facilitating economic ties and exchanges between Poland and Thailand. The direct flight from Warsaw to Bangkok takes approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes, while the return flight takes about 11 hours and 15 minutes. LOT aircraft arrive at Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi (BKK) — the Thai capital's main international airport — located roughly 30 kilometers east of the city center.
The return of flights to Bangkok marks a new chapter in the history of this route, which dates back to 1977. It was when LOT Polish Airlines launched its first scheduled service to the Far East, connecting Warsaw with Bangkok. Initially, flights included stopovers, with the Warsaw–Dubai–Mumbai–Bangkok route operated using Ilyushin Il-62 aircraft. With the expansion of the fleet and the introduction of Boeing 767 aircraft, the launch of direct flights to Thailand became possible. The regular service from Warsaw was suspended in March 2000; its resumption after more than two decades represents a significant step in the continued development of LOT Polish Airlines’ long-haul network.
Tickets for flights from Warsaw to Bangkok are available across all sales channels, including the lot.com website, the carrier’s official app, the LOT Contact Center, and LOT Travel offices.
