Established in 1989, London-based Skytrax is an air transport research and rating organization. Its annual World Airline Awards evaluate passenger satisfaction through independent global surveys. This year’s survey evaluated more than 300 airlines worldwide between September 2025 and August 2026.
Korean Air ranked first in two categories: Best Economy Class Airline Seats and Best Cabin Crew in South Korea. The airline climbed two spots from last year to take first place for its Economy Class seating, and maintained its top position for regional cabin crew.
In general service categories, Korean Air ranked sixth for Best Airlines in Asia, seventh for World’s Most Family Friendly Airline, 10th for World’s Cleanest Airline, and 13th for both World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew and World’s Best Airport Services.
In Premium Economy, Korean Air placed seventh for Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seats, 10th for Best Premium Economy Class Airline Catering, and 15th for World’s Best Premium Economy Class. The airline also ranked 14th for World’s Best Economy Class.
In First Class, the airline ranked eighth for Best First Class Airline Lounges, ninth for Best First Class Airline Seats, and 10th for Best First Class Airline Lounge Dining.
This latest recognition builds on Korean Air’s global leadership in service excellence. In April 2026, the airline was certified as a 5-Star Airline by Skytrax for the sixth consecutive year, and secured 13 inflight service awards at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) 2026 in Hamburg.
