BWH Hotels has opened @HOME by Best Western McDonough, a newly constructed five-story, 128-suite extended-stay hotel. The hotel was developed by Raj Patel and Apsilon Hotels.
“The opening of the first @HOME by Best Western hotel in Georgia and throughout the Southeast marks a significant milestone for the extended-stay brand,” said Patel, CEO, Apsilon Hotels. “Selecting McDonough for this project was a strategic choice driven by the area’s robust economic growth along the I-75 corridor and strong demand from business, logistics and long-term travelers. Designed to deliver a streamlined extended-stay experience, @HOME by Best Western strikes the right balance between the comforts of home and the convenience of hotel living.”
Located off Interstate 75, the hotel is designed to meet rising extended-stay demand from both business and leisure travelers. The property offers access to regional commerce centers, including more than 80 million sq. ft. of industrial and distribution facilities and Norfolk Southern’s corporate training facility, while also close to Historic Downtown McDonough, Heritage Park and Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Property amenities include inviting community areas, a lobby market, a fitness center, guest laundry facilities and on-property storage closets that allow extended-stay guests to store personal items outside their guestrooms. The hotel also offers complimentary self-parking with dedicated wide-berth spaces to easily accommodate large trucks and RVs, EV charging and pet-friendly accommodations.
The McDonough property marks the second @HOME by Best Western location to open in the U.S., following the brand’s debut in St. George, UT, and the recent opening in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada. A second Atlanta-area property in Fairburn, Ga., also developed by Apsilon Hotels, is slated to open in 2027. Across its extended-stay portfolio, the company’s global pipeline is projected to reach 34 hotels and 2,791 rooms by the end of 2026.
“Extended-stay remains one of the most resilient and attractive segments in hospitality, and @HOME by Best Western is proving to be a powerful growth vehicle for our developers,” said Brad LeBlanc, SVP/chief development officer, BWH Hotels. “With a growing global pipeline and strong interest across multiple markets, we’re building a brand that delivers what today’s guests want and what owners need: an efficient operating model, a compelling value proposition and long-term growth potential.”
