Sydney Marathon offers pre-dawn trading boost When runners take to the streets on Sunday 30 August, eligible businesses along the route can open their doors well before the starter gun.

How to stay safe from scams Scams can happen to anyone – and they can look and sound like the real thing. Scammers may contact you by text, phone, email, social media or on a website. They might pretend to be from a bank, government service, police, service provider or well-known business. They often use believable stories and pressure you to act quickly. If something feels wrong, remember: Stop. Check. Protect. Stop before giving money or personal information. Check the message, call or website is real using official contact details you find yourself. Protect yourself by contacting your bank, seeking help and reporting scams to ScamWatch.
