UK-based Vibe said that its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server can connect TMC platforms directly with major AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
This will allow travellers to access approved corporate travel content through “natural language” conversations and not just via traditional booking interfaces, explained Vibe in a statement.
Matthew Chapman, co-founder and chief technical officer at Vibe, said that its MCP server gave TMCs the ability to utilise AI tools “without losing control of their brand, supplier content, commercial model or corporate travel policies”.
“This is not about replacing the TMC. It is about giving TMCs the tools to remain central, relevant and competitive as booking behaviour changes,” added Chapman.
UK-based TMC ITG Business Travel has already gone live with Vibe’s MCP integration, which it is now testing with clients.
Vibe said the initiative allowed travellers to use their preferred AI assistant to search and book flights, rail and hotels, as well as view existing bookings, amend itineraries, make payments, and access their corporate travel policy details.
The company added that these bookings “remain connected” to approved content, supplier relationships, payment processes, travel policies and reporting systems.
