Eurowings celebrates ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’ with its own magazine cover

Aurélie Carina, the newly crowned winner of Germany’s Next Top Model (GNTM) and a flight attendant with Eurowings, is featured on the cover of the summer issue of the in-flight magazine WINGS. Following cover stories in leading fashion magazines, she is now set to feature on a truly exceptional cover: that of her own employer. Eurowings is thus celebrating the GNTM winner as a cover star in true fashion-world style – and with exactly the kind of attention reserved for exceptional personalities.

“In the fashion industry, a cover symbolises recognition, visibility, and exceptional achievement. Dedicating the latest issue of WINGS to Aurélie is our most sincere way of saying: We are proud of you,” says Max Kownatzki, CEO of Eurowings. “What we are most delighted by is that, despite everything – the hustle and bustle, the glamour, the public eye – she will remain one of us. That says it all.” The summer issue of WINGS reaches around five million passengers on Eurowings flights across Europe during the peak travel season, making it one of the highest-reach magazines in the German-speaking world.

Typically, the front cover of WINGS is reserved for exceptional nature photographs. The idea to make an exception to this design rule came immediately after Aurélie’s victory in the Hollywood final. Instead of a congratulatory card, Eurowings opted for something more lasting: the cover of WINGS magazine. “To us, Aurélie isn’t just some celebrity passing through,” says Kownatzki. “She is a very versatile, talented colleague, a popular crew member, and a friendly face of the Eurowings family. But her cover story is more than that: she represents the more than 5,500 Eurowings employees who shape the company. Aurélie’s story shows the diverse talents, passions, and life paths that lie behind the people on board and on the ground.”

The summer issue of WINGS will be available on all Eurowings flights from the start of July.
