Zucchetti enables hotel bookings through AI platforms

STURGEON BAY, WI – Zucchetti North America has announced the launch of a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector suite within the Zucchetti Booking Engine, enabling hotels to accept direct bookings through artificial intelligence platforms, including ChatGPT and Claude.

The new functionality is already live and being used by hotels in multiple countries. According to the company, the MCP connector provides properties with access to a new direct booking channel through AI platforms that travellers are increasingly using for ravel research, planning and purchasing decisions.

Through the MCP connector, the Zucchetti Booking Engine, which is used by more than 7,000 properties across 75 countries, can provide live rates, availability and property information directly to AI platforms. This allows travellers using ChatGPT, Claude and similar AI services to move from trip planning to booking while accessing real-time hotel information.

The company stated that the capability enables hotels to secure bookings within AI environments that might otherwise be directed through online travel agencies, helping properties reduce distribution costs and retain a larger share of booking revenue.

In addition to AI booking functionality, the Zucchetti Booking Engine includes a range of automation tools. Content translation, image generation and back-office support features have been available since March 2025 and have generated more than 100,000 assets while responding to more than 35,000 support queries.

The platform also incorporates a Destination Demand Datalake MCP, providing hotels with real-time demand intelligence relating to their destination and surrounding market.

Mark Lewis-Brown, CEO and President of Zucchetti North America, said: “With this feature, we are now enabling hotels to capture a completed reservation without the guest visiting their website, putting our clients in front of travelers at the exact moment they are ready to book, inside the AI platforms they are already using. As AI platforms become primary research and booking tools for travelers, hotels that are not accessible within them will lose those bookings to properties that are, and that gap will only grow.”

The launch forms part of a broader artificial intelligence strategy spanning six of Zucchetti North America’s eight operational technology solutions. The company said these capabilities cover areas including revenue management, distribution, property management, marketing and guest communications.

According to Zucchetti North America, most of these AI-enabled functions are already operational within hotel environments and are designed to support revenue growth, distribution efficiency and operational productivity.

Lewis-Brown added: “Hotels are under constant pressure to drive more revenue, control distribution costs and do more with limited resources. The AI capabilities we’ve deployed across our portfolio are designed to deliver measurable results in each of those areas, and they are already live at our customers’ properties today.”
