ITB Berlin launches Travel & Tourism in Motion campaign for 2027

ITB Berlin has launched its new campaign for the 2027 edition of the event under the slogan “Travel & Tourism in Motion”, placing the focus on the developments shaping global tourism, including changing travel habits, innovative mobility solutions and evolving technological, economic and social conditions.

The world’s leading travel trade show will take place in Berlin from 16 to 18 March 2027. Developed in cooperation with Rupp, an international PR and communications agency, the campaign presents tourism as an industry that is continuously evolving and adapting to global change.

Through its visual and content concept, the campaign highlights the diversity and dynamism of the international tourism sector and the ways in which markets, destinations and business models are developing to create new opportunities for the future.

The campaign positions ITB Berlin as a platform for dialogue, business and industry orientation, bringing together decision-makers, companies and destinations to discuss emerging developments, exchange ideas and explore future strategies.

Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, said: “Tourism is much more than just travel. It is a driver of economic development, innovation and international networking. The industry is always in motion, and it is precisely this dynamism that ITB Berlin brings to the fore. It is where key players come together to forge new ideas, analyse global trends and help shape the future of travel.”

A central element of the campaign is a new key visual designed to reflect the dynamic character of global tourism. Created during ITB Berlin 2026 with the participation of exhibitors and visitors, it represents a cross-section of the international tourism community and highlights the diversity of people, ideas and perspectives present at the trade show.

In addition, each exhibition segment of ITB Berlin will feature its own dedicated key visual accompanied by the “in Motion” tagline.

New dates for ITB Berlin 2027

ITB Berlin 2027 will be held from 16 to 18 March 2027. The one-time adjustment to the event dates takes intercultural considerations into account and enables Muslim exhibitors and visitors to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the conclusion of Ramadan before participating in the trade show.

According to the organisers, the decision reflects ITB Berlin’s position as a global platform that recognises and supports diversity within the international tourism industry.
