Mirai launches increments module for dynamic supplement management

MADRID – Mirai has launched a new increments module designed to support dynamic supplement management in the hotel industry, as hotels seek more precise pricing tools in an increasingly competitive operating environment.

According to the company, the use of dynamic supplements can increase hotel profitability by between 15% and 30% by adjusting prices in real time to reflect actual demand.

The new module is intended to give independent hotels access to high-precision revenue management capabilities that have traditionally been available mainly to larger hotel groups, without increasing operational complexity in their Property Management System or Channel Manager.

Mirai, which specialises in hotel technology for direct sales, said the new tool enables dynamic management of supplements and aims to support more effective pricing strategies. The company said even small pricing optimisations can result in meaningful gains in RevPAR, particularly during periods of peak demand when fixed supplements may lead to cumulative margin losses because they do not reflect real market value.

Javier Delgado Muerza, CEO EMEA at Mirai, said: “The great challenge for the industry is not just defining prices, but having the ability to adapt them in real time without increasing operational complexity.”

“Today, many hotels continue to lose margin by maintaining static supplements. This technology allows that value to be captured immediately, with much more precise and flexible logic.”

One of the operational issues addressed by the new module is the management of supplements linked to occupancy, including triple rooms, children, or single use, which often continue to operate under rigid structures that do not reflect changing demand conditions.

The increments module introduces dynamic pricing logic for these supplements, allowing hotels to configure rules directly from the booking engine. Supplements can be applied as fixed values or percentages and segmented by variables including season, room type, board type and guest age.

According to Mirai, the module can be implemented without requiring changes to the hotel’s PMS or Channel Manager, with management centralised in a single point in order to reduce operational workload.

The company said that technology enabling this level of flexible price management has historically been reserved for large hotel chains. With this launch, independent hotels are now able to access a similar level of pricing precision without the need for complex infrastructure.

In a market characterised by increasingly volatile demand, the ability to adjust each component of the room rate in real time is becoming a more important factor in hotel profitability.
