SAN FRANCISCO – Sojern has appointed Sylvia Weiler as President and General Manager of its Global Destinations business, responsible for serving destination marketing organisations, tourism boards and attractions worldwide.
The appointment completes a broader executive leadership restructure aimed at scaling the company’s three core verticals – Corporate, Property and Destinations – following the integration of Sojern and Adara earlier in March.
Weiler joins Jay Wardle, President & GM, Corporate, and Kurt Weinsheimer, President & GM, Properties, forming the updated leadership team overseeing Sojern’s global operations.
A travel industry executive with experience across data and technology-driven businesses, Weiler previously contributed to building Sojern’s destination segment. She returns to the company after holding senior roles at Zartico, Tripadvisor and Airbnb.
In her new role, she will focus on addressing key industry challenges, including demonstrating measurable economic impact for destination marketing organisations and responding to the growing influence of AI-driven search, as outlined in Sojern’s 2026 State of Destination Marketing Report.
Mark Rabe, CEO of Sojern, said: “Sylvia’s deep expertise at the intersection of travel, data, and technology makes her the perfect leader for this next chapter for Sojern. Her deep industry roots and forward-thinking approach to AI will be key to unlocking new growth for our partners worldwide. I’m thrilled to have her back on the team.”
Sylvia Weiler, President and General Manager, Global Destinations at Sojern, added: “Returning to Sojern at this pivotal moment is a unique opportunity to scale a business I helped build and take it to new heights. We are navigating an increasingly complex and competitive landscape, where access to the most sophisticated travel-intent data, combined with AI-driven personalization and transparent measurement, enables our partners not just to reach travelers, but to influence decisions with precision and confidence at scale. I’m energized to lead this next chapter and deliver even greater impact for our partners globally.”
