airBaltic Moves Operations to Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport

Starting March 29, 2026, Latvian airline airBaltic will relocate its operations at Frankfurt Airport to Terminal 1, further improving the travel experience by offering customers a more seamless journey with faster and more convenient connections to the airline’s codeshare partner flights.

Mantas Vrubliauskas, Vice President Network Management at airBaltic: “Frankfurt is a key hub in our network, offering broad one-stop connectivity from Riga to destinations worldwide and supporting both business and tourism flows. By moving operations to Terminal 1, customers will enjoy quicker and easier connections to onward flights, as the terminal is also used by our codeshare partners.”

This move represents a significant improvement for airBaltic customers. Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport is the airport’s main terminal for international and connecting flights, offering efficient transfers, clear wayfinding, and a wide range of services in one place. It also provides convenient access to the long-distance and regional train stations, as well as the bus station, ensuring fast and easy travel to and from the airport.

airBaltic offers daily flights between Riga and Frankfurt at convenient times, serving both business and leisure travellers and enabling easy connections to numerous destinations via its codeshare partners.

As previously announced, in late 2025, airBaltic and Lufthansa expanded their codeshare agreement on Riga-Frankfurt flights, improving connectivity for passengers continuing to Lufthansa’s onward destinations.

Over the past 30 years, airBaltic has evolved into a globally respected carrier. Now the airline is connecting the Baltic States to 80 destinations across Europe and beyond, providing essential infrastructure and global connectivity for the region. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets are available on the company's homepage at www.airbaltic.com.
