SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, and PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA – Sabre Corporation, PayPal Holdings and Mindtrip have announced a strategic partnership to deliver what they describe as the industry’s first end-to-end agentic AI travel experience, integrating discovery, planning, booking and post-booking management within a single conversational flow. The product is scheduled to launch in Q2 2026.
The collaboration combines Mindtrip’s agentic consumer
platform, PayPal’s agentic commerce capabilities and Sabre’s enterprise-grade
travel technology and agentic AI expertise. The companies stated that the
objective is to replace fragmented, multi-step booking processes with a unified
experience that connects inspiration directly to transaction and servicing.
Garry Wiseman, Chief
Product and Technology Officer, Sabre, said: “We believe consumer behaviour will continue
to shift towards conversational commerce, and we see our role as helping the
travel industry seize this opportunity – because the full potential of agentic
AI for travel can only be realised at scale when it is connected to enterprise-grade
technology capable of handling real-world complexity. This partnership brings
together a cutting-edge agentic consumer start-up, the world’s biggest digital
payments platform, and Sabre’s leading enterprise-grade agentic AI technology
to accelerate the future of travel in a way that is practical, scalable, and
grounded in real use cases.”
The agentic AI travel experience will enable
travellers to interact with an AI-powered assistant on the Mindtrip platform.
Within a single interface, users will be able to describe destinations, timing,
budgets and preferences in natural language, receive personalised flight and
hotel options, refine recommendations through follow-up questions, complete
bookings and payments, and manage itineraries, including changes.
Sabre’s travel platform will support real-time
shopping, pricing, availability, booking and servicing. PayPal’s digital wallet
will provide identity verification and an integrated checkout experience
embedded within the booking flow.
At the centre of the initiative is Mindtrip’s
conversational AI interface, designed to interpret traveller intent,
preferences and contextual information, and translate them into actionable
recommendations. The initial rollout will support flights, with hotel content to
be added in a subsequent phase.
Andy Moss, CEO and co-founder of Mindtrip, said: “We
started Mindtrip with one clear goal: to make the end-to-end travel journey
seamless. Today, in partnership with PayPal and Sabre, we’re realising that
vision. Rather than bouncing between search tools, booking sites, and payment
screens, travellers will have the ability to discover, plan, book, and pay for
a trip in one continuous, intuitive, trusted, conversational experience.”
PayPal will act as the preferred agentic commerce partner, providing identity verification and payment processing through its global two-sided network of consumers and merchants. The integration includes native checkout within the booking flow, access to flexible payment options such as PayPal’s Pay Later solution, encryption, loyalty rewards where applicable, and purchase and seller protections on eligible transactions.
Michelle Gill, GM of Small Business and Financial Services, PayPal,
said: “Travel
is a highly complex purchase decision for consumers, and ease, speed, and
flexibility at checkout matter. This next generation of agentic AI finally
connects discovery to decision-making and booking without leaving the
experience. By integrating PayPal’s agentic commerce offerings directly into
the experience, we’re transforming inspiration into action – giving consumers
more choice, control, and confidence, while helping partners convert more of
the demand they generate.”
The underlying infrastructure will be delivered
through the Sabre Mosaic platform, Sabre APIs and its global partner network.
According to the companies, Sabre Mosaic includes content from more than 420
airlines, including 150 low-cost carriers, and over two million lodging options.
For Sabre customers, the partnership is positioned as
a channel to access AI-driven, consumer-facing demand without developing
standalone agentic interfaces. Suppliers will continue to rely on Sabre’s
systems, processes and data governance frameworks while participating in the
new agentic AI travel experience.
Garry Wiseman added: “This
partnership is disruptive in all the right ways, challenging industry norms
while giving our partners the upside of transformation without the turbulence.
By anchoring these agentic capabilities in Sabre’s proven platform and
expertise, we’re delivering stability, unlocking growth, and strengthening
Sabre’s position as the trusted backbone of the next generation of innovation
for our customers and their customers.”
The companies stated that the initiative aims to unify
inspiration, AI-driven intelligence, payments and fulfilment into a single
end-to-end journey, structured around conversational interaction and integrated
transaction capabilities.
