Bailey brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience. Before joining Kimpton, he served as Director of Asset Management at BC Lynd Hospitality, where he led performance improvements across a portfolio of Marriott select-service hotels. His previous roles include GM positions at the St. Anthony Luxury Collection Hotel in San Antonio and the Hilton Garden Inn in Sugar Land, Texas, where he focused on renovation programmes, guest satisfaction, and RevPAR growth.
“I’m thrilled to join Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore at such a transformative time,” said Bailey. “This property has a rich history and a vibrant future. My goal is to ensure that every guest feels the warmth of Kimpton’s hospitality while experiencing the reimagined luxury and energy that define the Monaco brand.”
Renovation introduces refreshed spaces and enhanced functionality
The leadership appointment coincides with a multi-phase renovation of the hotel, located in Baltimore’s historic former B&O Railroad Headquarters building. The first phase, now complete, includes a comprehensive redesign of public areas, guest rooms, and meeting spaces. The upgrades blend Kimpton’s contemporary style with the landmark building’s Beaux-Arts architecture, and introduce refreshed interiors, upgraded amenities, and improved functionality for events and accommodation.
A second phase of works is scheduled for completion next year, focusing on elevating the dining experience at the hotel’s B&O American Brasserie, further enhancing the hotel’s positioning within Baltimore’s hospitality landscape.
The refreshed Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore aims to strengthen its appeal among business and leisure travellers, meetings and event planners, and the wider Mid-Atlantic hospitality market.
