The newly published data covers 2,240 exhibitions held in 2024, including 235 events recognised as “UFI Approved Events.” These exhibitions accounted for 23.1 million square metres of registered net space rented, with total attendance reaching 53.8 million registered visits. The events attracted 594,444 exhibiting companies.
Of the exhibitions included, 40% were dedicated to trade visitors, 30% targeted the public and the remaining 30% served both audiences. The data set reflects continued recovery and expansion in the European market, as organisers respond to changing industry demand and investment in face-to-face business platforms.
“The number of events covered by the ‘Euro Fair Statistics’ report has continued to grow in recent years. UFI estimates that this year’s data represents almost 55% of the European exhibition market.
We thank all the national bodies that contribute to this report by providing their certified data. This year, for the first time, they were asked to indicate whether the reported figures refer to visitors or to visits, thereby improving the precision of the indicator,” says Chris Skeith OBE, UFI CEO.
