Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline*, is proud to announce a new strategic distribution partnership with Travelfusion, the world’s largest flight content aggregator - now live across all markets. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in Wizz Air’s ongoing commitment to enhance accessibility, affordability, and connectivity for travellers travelling in Europe and beyond.
Currently, a lot of European travel remains “unmanaged” by airlines, with 45% of travellers booking going through a retail channel such as online travel agencies (OTAs)** and 72% of passengers globally preferred to book online***.
This collaboration marks Wizz Air’s first strategic partnership with a content aggregator, and an important milestone in the airline’s revised commercial strategy to widen access to its fares and services through leading online travel agencies and booking platforms. Through this partnership, Wizz Air will expand its fare and service availability to a broader range of customers, including major OTAs, travel management companies (TMCs), online booking tools (OBTs), and tour operators connected to Travelfusion’s global network. In return, Travelfusion gains access to one of the fastest-growing low-cost carriers in Europe, offering unbeatable fares, an expanding route network, and a rich portfolio of ancillary services.
“We are proud to take this important step in making Wizz Air’s fares more visible and accessible to customers who book through third-party platforms. This agreement marks the beginning of a strategic work with online travel agencies and aggregators,” says Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s Commercial Officer. “By collaborating with Travelfusion, we are taking a first step in widening access to Wizz Air’s affordable fares in line with the Price pillar of our Customer First Compass. Over last financial year we carried more than 68 million people through our extensive network of over 200 destinations, this year we aim for 75 million. We want to make travel even more accessible to ever more passengers and provide more transparency throughout their travel. Let’s WIZZ!”
This is Wizz Air’s first distribution partnership with a flight content aggregator, highlighting the airline’s focus on smart, strategic collaborations that support scalable, cost-efficient growth while upholding its commitment to affordable travel. Wizz Air reaffirms that its lowest fares and the full suite of ancillary products – including seat selection, priority boarding, baggage options, and more – will continue to be available via the Wizz Air website and mobile app, offering the best value to customers who book directly.
“We are incredibly glad to announce this landmark partnership with Wizz Air,” said Eytan Bicaci Baruh, Vice President Commercial of Travelfusion. “This collaboration reinforces Travelfusion’s ongoing mission to offer the broadest possible content, with a continued focus on distributing low-cost carrier content to our global network of agency customers. We invite all agencies who wish to access Wizz Air’s unique content offering, whether you are already a customer of Travelfusion or yet to become one, to join us on this exciting next step in our journey.”
Travelfusion’s seamless distribution technology enables partners like Wizz Air to make their content instantly accessible across a vast agency network, ensuring speed, efficiency, and scale in delivery.
Wizz Air and Travelfusion are committed to continuing this momentum, with further enhancements to agency connectivity, customer servicing, and route availability planned for the second half of 2025.
