Hydrogen-Electric's Big Moves: Centre of Excellence Plans Unveiled, Launch Customer Secured, and Next Stop - Paris!
May marked a transformative month for the future of clean flight - ensuring that the momentum towards zero-emission aviation continues.
We kicked off the month with exciting news: our launch customer - RVL Aviation, will operate the world's first zero-emission cargo services in the UK powered by our ZA600 powertrain. We now have the engine design, integration plans for the launch airframe, hydrogen fuel solutions, and committed customers eager to operate the first routes. A significant step forward for our team and the entire industry!
Just weeks later, we were back in the spotlight with the announcement of plans to build a Hydrogen Centre of Excellence at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS), near Glasgow Airport in Renfrewshire. The launch event, held at Glasgow Airport, brought together key government and industry stakeholders for a first-hand look at our cutting-edge technology, officially marking the launch of our plans.
Our team is now gearing up for the Paris Air Show, where we'll be showcasing our hydrogen-electric innovations. We're looking forward to meeting you there if you are attending, or bringing you some exclusive content live from the show floor if you are following along online. Explore more about what we have planned for the week below.
