Carnival plans year-round cruises from Ala. in 2027

Skagway and Haines, Alaska, are trying to repair relationships with Canadian residents and businesses, which have been strained by President Donald Trump's policies, including a 25% tariff on Canadian imports. Mike Healy, owner of Skagway Brewing Co., said sales to Canadians plummeted 75% in March, while a June bike relay that normally sells out in days is struggling. "I've been angry because we shouldn't be in this place," said Rebecca Hylton, Haines's tourism director.
