18.235 million in February 2025, down 1.39 percent compared to February 2024, with enplanements reaching 105.8 percent of pre-pandemic February 2019 volume.
Originating Non-Stop Air Travel in February 2025
- Non-U.S. citizen air passenger arrivals to the United States from foreign countries totaled:
4.116 million in February 2025, down 4.8 percent compared to February 2024.
This represents 88.2 percent of pre-pandemic February 2019 volume.

- U.S. citizen air passenger departures from the United States to foreign countries totaled:
- 4.912 million in February 2025, up 0.39 percent compared to February 2024.
- This exceeded February 2019 volume by 25.4 percent.
World Region Highlights in February 2025 (APIS/I-92 arrivals + departures)
- Total air passenger travel (arrivals and departures) between the United States and other countries were led by Mexico 3.220 million, Canada 2.381 million, the United Kingdom 1.118 million, the Dominican Republic 807,000, and Japan 743,000.
- International regional air travel to/from the United States:
- Europe totaled 3.639 million passengers, up 1.3 percent over February 2024, and down 3.1 percent compared to February 2019.
- (U.S. citizen departures were up 13.8 percent compared to February 2019, while European citizen arrivals were down 15.2 percent.)
- South/Central America/Caribbean totaled 5.124 million, down 3.8 percent from February 2024, and up 14.6 percent compared to February 2019.
- Asia totaled 2.290 million passengers, up 5.4 percent over February 2024, but down 17.4 percent compared to February 2019.
- (Asian citizen arrivals to the U.S were down 35.7 percent compared to February 2019, and U.S. citizen departures were up 22.3 percent.)
- Europe totaled 3.639 million passengers, up 1.3 percent over February 2024, and down 3.1 percent compared to February 2019.
- Top U.S. ports serving international locations were New York (JFK) 2.266 million, Miami (MIA) 1.935 million, Los Angeles (LAX) 1.618 million, San Francisco (SFO) 1.044 million, and Atlanta (ATL) 1.029.
- Top foreign ports serving U.S. locations were Cancun (CUN) 1.009 million, London Heathrow (LHR) 1.007 million, Toronto (YYZ) 951,000, Mexico City (MEX) 605,000, and Seoul Incheon (ICN) 517,000.
