Croatia Airlines is showcasing its offering at the ITB Berlin Travel Trade Show, as part of the Croatian National Tourist Board’s stand. At one of the world’s leading travel trade shows, Croatia’s flag carrier is presenting this year’s summer flight timetable, which includes the expansion of its international flight network from Zagreb and an overall increase in the number of flights by 7% compared to the same period of last year.
The international flight network from Zagreb Airport is expanding significantly with the introduction of the following new seasonal routes:
Zagreb – Madrid (flights available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays)
Zagreb – Hamburg (flights available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays)
Zagreb – Prague (flights available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
Zagreb – Milan (flights available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
Zagreb – Bucharest (flights available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays)
Flights on these routes are scheduled to operate from early July until the end of October 2025, and are expected to be operated by the new Airbus A220 aircraft, with which the airline is replacing its existing fleet.
The number of weekly flights is also increasing on the seasonal Zagreb–Tirana route (introduced in 2024), which will now operate three times a week (i.e., on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), as well as on the Zagreb–Barcelona route, where flights will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
During this year’s tourist season, Croatia Airlines will be connecting Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, with a total of 23 international destinations.
Split Airport will once again be connected to 21 international destinations, serving a total of 22 airports. The number of flights on the Split–Oslo route is increasing, with Croatia Airlines operating flights on this route on Thursdays, and Sundays this season. Another new development is the increase in flights on the Split–Berlin route, on which flights will now be available on Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
To further contribute to the development of the tourism potential of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia Airlines is planning to connect Dubrovnik with seven European destinations this season – namely, Athens, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome, and Zurich. The number of weekly flights on the Dubrovnik–Zurich route will increase, with flights now operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, as well as on the Dubrovnik–Prague route, where flights will be available on Thursdays, and Sundays.
Year-round flights on the Rijeka–Munich, and Osijek–Munich routes will also continue.
During the 2025 tourist season, Croatia Airlines will operate flights to 30 international destinations across 31 European airports, covering 55 scheduled international routes. In this year’s summer flight timetable, over 18,200 flights are planned (which is a 7% increase compared to 2024), on which more than 2.26 million seats will be available (which is an 18% increase compared to 2024). With these improvements, Croatia’s flag carrier is continuing to enhance the quality of Croatia’s tourism product, while also enhancing the transport infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
In an effort to make air travel more accessible to a larger number of people, Croatia Airlines has introduced a special offer – a 30% discount on the purchase of airline tickets for all international flights operated by Croatia Airlines. The offer is valid from 4 March 2025 until 6 March 2025, and applies to travel between 28 April and 25 December this year. The discount is available on the company’s website at www.croatiaairlines.com and the Croatia Airlines mobile app. To obtain the 30% discount, users must enter the promotional code SUMMER30 when purchasing a ticket. Only the base fare will be discounted by 30%, while airport taxes, fees, and charges remain unaffected by the discount.
Croatia Airlines’ network of international and domestic flights during this year’s summer season has been tailored to market demand for air transport services, with the flight timetable subject to adjustments depending on the delivery timeline of the new Airbus A220 aircraft and their integration into the fleet.
– Although most visitors travel to Croatia by road, our strong connections with European airports are crucial for maintaining Croatia’s competitive position as a high-quality, easily accessible destination. This is particularly important for the German market, which is the most significant for Croatia’s tourism, as it generates the highest number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays. There are parts of Germany from which visitors primarily travel to Croatia by car, but there are also regions where air travel is preferred, especially when it comes to our popular destinations in the southern part of the country. This is why I welcome the contribution made by Croatia’s flag carrier, which will be connecting Croatia with 31 European airports during this year’s summer flight timetable – said Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
